What does the Bible say about Satan?

What does the Bible say about Satan?

The Bible tells us how to fight him and win.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

Satan is a liar and is the voice of accusation and discouragement. “The devil was a murderer from the beginning and has always hated the truth. There is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44)

Avoid temptation, be honest w/ friends, follow God not man. “Don’t be joined up with those who are unbelievers. How can goodness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the Devil?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15)

Christian’s don’t have a right to sin. To love him is to obey him. “But cowards who turn away from me, and unbelievers, and the corrupt, and murderers, and the fornicators, (sex before marriage) and those who practice witchcraft, and idol worshipers, and all liars– their doom is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)

At death we will all stand before God and explain our lives to him. “So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12) We have the power to bind demonic forces and send them away. “...whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)
